The Providence Lakers, led by captain Jelvin Sam, participated in the Palazhi Babu P Thomas Memorial Inter College Basketball Championship held at St Thomas College of Engineering, Kozhuvalloor.

The team fought their way through some fierce competition to reach a hard-fought the final match on 2nd March 2018, that resulted in a 28-26 scoreline with St Thomas College edging their way past, with Providence taking home the runner-up trophy.
