  • 50% of the total seats in BTech courses are set apart for centralized allotment by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations as agreed upon with the Government of Kerala.
  • Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry as one of the optional subjects, with at least 45% marks put together in the above subjects are eligible for admission in the Government quota.
  • To be allotted to Providence College via the Government quota, candidates must opt for the institution code PRC and preferred branch of study during their online submission as and when announced by Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.
  • College/institution code for Government quota allotment: PRC
  • Candidates who wish to opt to gain admission through the government quota must do so through the portal of the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations and select Providence College of Engineering with the institution code, PRC.
  • Only those candidates who qualify in Kerala Engineering, Agriculture & Medical (KEAM) Entrance Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Government of Kerala in the current year, will be considered.
  • 35% seats of the sanctioned intake are considered to be Management quota seats. These seats are allotted on the basis of merit by ranking applicants on the basis of marks obtained for PCM in the qualifying examination and rank obtained in the Kerala Engineering, Agriculture & Medical (KEAM) Entrance Examination of the current year.
  • Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) put together are eligible for admission in the Management quota.
  • Only those candidates who qualify in Kerala Engineering, Agriculture & Medical (KEAM) Entrance Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Government of Kerala in the current year, will be considered.
  • 15% of the sanctioned intake is considered for admission under the NRI quota.
  • NRI students are admitted by the college management based on their academic eligibility as per APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) norms and are exempted from qualifying in Kerala Engineering, Architecture & Medical (KEAM) entrance examination.
  • Lateral entry is an option for those who have completed a recognized diploma course or students in the final year of a diploma course to upgrade their qualification to a full-fledged Bachelor degree by entering the BTech program in the 2nd year.
  • Admission is given by the management based on the marks scored in qualifying Examination; subject to other eligibility criteria. The qualifying examinations are:
    • 3 year Engineering Diploma Certificate
    • 3 year BSc degree in Physics or Mathematics as main and Mathematics as one of the subsidiary subjects.
  • The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) and relevant regulatory bodies may, from time to time, amend/modify the rules and for lateral entry admissions. Please refer the DTE website for the most up to date information about lateral entry admissions.

General Information

Admission is strictly on the basis of merit and as per the eligibility criteria set by the Government of Kerala.

Candidates shall apply directly to Providence College of Engineering online for admission.

Applicants should have completed 17 years of age on 31st December of joining year.

Candidates must be citizens of India.

Candidates are admitted on merit from the Providence rank list based on their academic eligibility and as per norms of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.

Selected candidates shall take admission at the appointed time and date in the college, after paying the tuition fee and other fees to be paid, failing which the offer of admission will be canceled.

NOTICE

The APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU), Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), the government of Kerala and other regulatory bodies may, at their discretion, add to, amend and/or modify the admission criteria and other regulations concerned with the admission of candidates to engineering programs in Kerala.
