The chairperson of Providence College of Engineering and School of Business announced the appointment of Prof. Radhakrishnan Nair as the Honorary Director of the Providence School of Business.
Taking charge from 1st September 2021, Prof. Nair will develop and lead the strategic growth of the business school with the mission to make it a premier school of choice for management studies.
Radhakrishnan Nair is an alumnus of XLRI (Xavier’s Labor Relations Institute), Jamshedpur. He completed the Post Graduate Diploma Program in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations in the year 1984.
Since then, he has worked in diverse industries and cultures in a career spanning close to 35 years, during which he worked in worked in various organizations including:
His experience of heading the HR function at a plant and company level spreads over a two and a half decades.
In early 2014 he was given an opportunity to move into academics as a Professor in Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning a (Deemed to be University). During this phase he was assigned roles of the Director of the Prasanti Nilayam Campus, the Dean of Faculty of Management and Commerce and the Head of the Department of Management and Commerce.
After close to five years, in 2018, he left the institute to focus on his spiritual progress and to play a role in his village Chengannur in Kerala focusing on the development young adults.
Since then, he has been playing the role of guest faculty at Providence College of Engineering and Goa Institute of Management. In addition to being an advisor to the chairperson of Providence College of Engineering, Mr. Nair sits on the advisory board of Claricent Partners, Mumbai an HR consulting firm and Karkinos, a startup focused on making cancer care affordable.
